Pure Ambition

Maybe you’ve been fortunate enough to sample her superb range of Italian-inspired dishes, or you might know her from her longstanding role on Channel Ten’s Ready, Steady, Cook.

As one of Australia’s leading chefs, Dominique Rizzo is also in demand as a presenter and teacher, and is so passionate about sharing her love of great food that she takes small groups of dedicated foodies on glamorous cooking tours to Italy, Sicily, Puglia, and Spain and Greece.

“What I love most about my work would have to be the variety,” says Dominique. “It is all so wonderful and diverse.”

Dominique’s days can include writing a new food tour, picking chairs, deciding what goes into her edible garden, sanding shelves, planting herbs, writing recipes, attending production meetings, chatting to suppliers, and the list goes on.

Dominique could be forgiven for stopping there, but she’s about to dive into one of her most ambitious projects yet - a Putia Pure Food concept cooking school and kitchen pantry.

“I also want to launch my ‘Farm to Table Outdoor Kitchen’ and develop a range of products under my Pure Food Cooking label,” she says.
