About SilverChef
article
Good Good West End is a beloved Brisbane café specialising in-house baked goods and exceptional coffee. Located in the vibrant West End neighbourhood, Good Good has built a reputation for quality and consistency, creating a welcoming space where the community gathers.
We spoke with owner Lachie about his journey and how SilverChef continues to support his business.
For Lachie, Good Good West End wasn't just about opening another café - it was about creating something special. With a focus on in-house baked goods and incredible coffee, he wanted to build a venue that would become a cornerstone of the West End community. Like many hospitality entrepreneurs, he quickly discovered that having the right equipment was essential to bringing his vision to life.
The challenge was clear: Proper equipment allows every part of the business to run smoother, but the upfront costs of outfitting a commercial kitchen can be overwhelming. That's where SilverChef became a crucial partner in Good Good's success story.
"We couldn't have done Good Good if it weren't for SilverChef. Essentially everything that we have that keeps us open day to day has been financed through SilverChef."
From Lachie, and thousands of other SilverChef customers perspectives; the beauty of SilverChef's Rent-Try-Buy solution is its alignment with how hospitality businesses actually operate. In the café industry, revenue comes in gradually. Traditional equipment financing models don't always reflect this reality, but SilverChef's approach does.
"When you own a hospitality venue, your money comes through day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. Working with a company like SilverChef really, really works for us because we aren't having to shell out money that we don't have upfront."
Beyond easing cash flow concerns, SilverChef's flexibility proved invaluable as Good Good grew. With Rent-Try-Buy, Lachie was able to switch out equipment as the business evolved, ensuring Good Good always had exactly what it needed without being locked into purchases that might not suit changing requirements.
"It just makes it a much, much, much safer bet for us."
Since opening, Good Good has become a West End staple. With SilverChef as a partner, Lachie continues to grow the business with confidence.
When asked what advice he'd give to other hospitality entrepreneurs, Lachie's response is simple and heartfelt:
"My one piece of advice is to just give them a call. They are just good human beings. I've never had a bad experience with SilverChef, and it will honestly be a safety net for you."
