Community initiatives
In 2022 we proudly launched two new community initiatives.
SilverChef Community Grants Program: Each quarter we award four grants of $5,000 each to community groups who use hospitality to support disadvantaged or under-served communities. Read more
Community-Equip: We give community organisations — specifically those who use hospitality to support disadvantaged people — easy access to finance for heavily discounted, pre-loved commercial kitchen equipment. Read more
Reconciliation Action Plan
Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs) help businesses across Australia to take meaningful action to advance reconciliation.
SilverChef has a RAP Working Group, and we are developing our first Reconciliation Action Plan, which will be submitted to Reconciliation Australia for approval by mid-2023.
Based around the core pillars of relationships, respect and opportunities, RAPs provide tangible and substantive benefits for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, increasing economic equity and supporting First Nations self-determination.
